Surprising no-one, Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour – the sixth and final volume in Bryan Lee O’Malley’s series – has sold out of its original print run, and is heading to a rush second printing ahead of the release of the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. What is surprising is that the initial print run was 100,000 copies, and that it sold out within days of release; the second printing is for 50,000 copies, “with the potential for more copies if they are needed,” according to comic industry site ICv2, which also reports that the book recorded the highest first day graphic novel sales for the Borders chain.
