MotoGP Just Got Cooler With Gyroscopic Cameras

Motorcycle racing’s premier class got an upgrade last weekend at Laguna Seca when MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports rolled out new gyroscopic camera mounts. Valentino Rossi’s Fiat Yamaha M1 was the guinea pig and the results looked fantastic.

I guess this is only cool if you ride motorcycles or are a fan of MotoGP but I wanted to share anyways. Check out those lean angles!

This race also awesome for the fact that Valentino Rossi, riding at Laguna Seca 7 weeks after a compound and exposed fracture of his right leg at his home GP in Mugello, came 3rd!

The new camera is sweet and gives a great view of the lean angle and Laguna Seca was the perfect place to see this. Awesome race, awesome rider, awesome views.
