If you love me, Techland readers, you’ll have checked out this week’s review of Limbo. That dark and twisted game is an Xbox exclusive, so PS3 owners won’t be able to experience Limbo‘s maddening puzzles and morbid vibe on their systems. Unless, of course, someone tried to re-make it using the game creation tools in LittleBigPlanet. That’s exactly the video you’re looking at, recorded from Limbo: Son of the Forest, a LBP level was created by user bra2008.
Now other games have been remade or name-checked in Media Molecule’s best-selling title but Son of the Forest stands out as one of the fastest turnarounds from original to LBP homage. While it’s not a note-for-note mirror image of PlayDead’s game, this user-generated level captures much of the lonely charm of Limbo. If you’re not planning on buying a Xbox 360 soon, then check out bra2008’s Limbo-like levels. At least until someone at Microsoft has them take down…
