BlackBerry OS 6 Coming To a Handful of Existing Devices

With the announcement of the BlackBerry Torch comes the rollout of OS 6 for existing BlackBerry devices including the Bold 9700, Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G. Rollout will be determined by mobile carrier certification so it could be months before it’s officially available. Of course, if you troll the BlackBerry forums, you’ll probably find a modified version available within hours of OS 6 being released into the wild.

Press release after the jump.

I am absolutely disguisted with RIM and its product and lack of consumer concerns.

I personally purchased a new curve less than a month ago which I will be returning this week. Why you might add, well I have a laptop which has windows 7 on it and a new copy of office 10 and can not use my blackberry with it, why would I want a blackberry in which the main purpose for me is being able to sync and I can not do that with this model at this time.

no where in what I am reading is there a solution in the near future

if anyone knows anything that I can not see or that I am missing please advise me ASAP

    thanks

Wait, you think you can’t sync your curve with Windows 7? I had a Curve 8530 (Sprint) and had absolutely no problem with syncing it on my Windows 7 laptop.

There’s a Blackberry Desktop and Media Sync application that’s designed to run on Windows 7:

    antlex61,

PLEASE RETURN THE PHONE. NEXT TIME DO NOT PURCHASE A DEVICE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. LOL IT WORKS WITH EVERY COMPUTER VIA DESKTOP MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.

Got to love people in this world because they can’t figure it out then it automatically doesn’t work-haha sorry love, Blackberry didn’t customize the phone to work with dummies.
