In this age of DVRs and on-demand video, only a few things stand out as appointment television for me. Mad Men is one and The Amazing Race is another (you cannot shame me on that, so don’t even try). But, for the last three or four years, the one show I have to be home for no matter what has been The Venture Bros. The Adult Swim cartoon sends up everything from Jonny Quest to G.I. Joe to Batman in heavenly 30-minute slices of nerd nirvana.
