The new trailer teasing the multiplayer action of this year’s Call of Duty hit the interwebs today and it seems like Treyarch may be adding another element to all the extant stats and perks current COD multiplayer has to offer.
At the end of the clip, there seems to be a user interface that looks exactly like the kind of thing used to capture and edit gameplay footage. Lots of recent games–from Fight Night Round 4 to Halo 3–have built in similar features. Knowing Activision’s business model and the rumors about their desire to monetize the community experience of multiplayer games, there might just be a pay-to-play aspect to this feature. Get ready to pay for special effects filters, kiddies.
