Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to pre-order the Motorola Droid 2 from Verizon for $200 after a $100 mail in rebate and a two-year contract. The phones will be available in stores on Thursday. The Droid 2, like the original Droid, features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and runs Android.

This version will be running the newest version of Android, 2.2, which features Flash 10.1 support. There’s a faster CPU than the original and a redesigned keyboard that now takes up more of its usable space by getting rid of the gold D pad found on the last one. There’s also a 3.7-inch touchscreen, 8GB of built-in memory, and an 8GB microSD card.

For Star Wars fans, there will be an “R2-D2 DROID 2” available in September. According to the press release, “The special version of the phone will feature exclusive Star Wars content and external hardware designed to look like the trusty Droid from the film saga.”
