Staples has announced that it will be carrying all three versions of Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader in its retail stores this fall. All of Staples’ retail locations—over 1,550 in all—will be stocking the Kindle, Kindle 3G, and Kindle DX for $139, $189, and $379, respectively.
Those are the same prices you’d pay on Amazon. Staples will also be offering “a full assortment of Kindle accessories.” No exact date about when the Kindles will be available for purchase other than “early this fall,” but Staples is promising to have the products on display so people can try before they buy.
