Its hard to think of someone who could fight the jedi and really stand against a lightsaber. At first I thought wolverine would be cool, if only to see adamantium versus lightsaber. unstoppable force meets immovable object maybe. A fight against Dr.Manhattan might be cool as the doc might be an entity of the force in the star wars universe. It would be force user fighting the force itself.

I would love to see boba fett versus the punisher. You would have a match between two very resourceful characters, who would use everything to get the edge on the other. It just seems like such a cool comic thinking about it now, them rampaging across a city as they try and outwit the other. it would be epic.

Frank Castle (The Punisher) vs. Han Solo; who would shoot first?

  • vashtilives

I think a fight between Boba Fett and Deadpool would be epic! There are lots of storylines in which Deadpool would reasonably be in the Star Wars universe, as well as why he & Boba Fett would cross paths. And, it really wouldn’t matter who won the fight because it would be funny as hell! Can you imagine the VERBAL war between the Merc with a mouth & Fett? Combine this with the actual, physical fighting, & there’s a comic I would happily read!

Or scott pilgrim versus amidala’s seven evil exes.
    1. Maul
    2. Evil Anakin
    3. Grevious
    4. Asajj Ventress
5 & 6. Rune Haako and Nute Gunray
    7. Sidious

Maul would make a good patel, so brooding. I can see evil anakin being tricked into doing something foolish that gets himself killed. Maybe grevious eats something that dosnt go with his robo parts, kind of stretching for that one. Asaji has to be the evil ex girlfriend, although I almost put Zam Wesell there so amidala could say “She didnt look like a girl when we dated!”. Rune Haako and Nute Gunray would make perfect replacements for Kyle and Ken Katayanagi as they have a whole droid army for Scott to fight! The epic would be perfectly topped off with a final confrontation in the throne room of the death star with Sidious (Gideon).

Sidious ” You want to fight me? For her? Now why would you want to do that?

Scott ” Because I love her!”

que evil laugh and force lightning.

Darth Vader v/s Dr.Doom. A clash of armor and arrogance. Neither would relent, neither would hold back, nor would they care if a planet was destoyed in their wake. It would harken back to a battle between two aromored medieval knights- without the honor.

The fight is at a stalemate until Starkiller’s allies show up and combine their Force abilities to destabilize the Surfer’s board. They think they’ve won the day until a huge shadow appears above. Galactus has come! Then Starkiller calls up Darth Vader to see if that Death Star is operational yet…

Let’s take King Arthur’s reincarnation on Camelot 3000 and face him against Darth Vader. The first is a man on a mission, believing Darth Vader to be one of the aliens he was summoned to fight. The second would believe to be facing a recent champion of the light side.

Since King Arthur returned to fight against an invasion of aliens, it is likely that his sword has been adapted to withstand most futuristic weapons and, therefore, it would go up against the lightsaber just fine.

Darth Vader has the Force, but the Magic involving Excalibur would be enough to repel it on most occasions and even produce an attack power of it’s own.

So, it would appear at this point that it was coming down to a question of swordsmanship.

However, let’s say that Darth Vader is assisted by Darth Sidious.
That would take for Arthur to have Merlin on his side.

None of them is physically at his best, so they would immerse on a fight of mental power at a distance. While Arthur and Vader battle relentlessly until physical exhaustion, Merlin and Darth Sidious would be throwing everything (plus the kitchen sink) to one another, taking from scenario and from within their own powers.

So, simultaneously we would have a battle of fighting capabilities and a battle of uncontained power.

Skill and Power. Who is the better swordsman and is either Magic or The Force the most powerful power in the Universe?

(Adds to this all the visual concept of the fight, with the shadows of two very distinctive swordsmen fighting in the middle of the clash of the most amazing forces of visual creation. But that’s for each one’s imagination on creating the scene.)

  • adreas0

I would love to see the Iron Fist go up against Mace Windu, though, fist fight only. It’s been alluded to that Windu has been trained with some form of martial arts, and Iron Fist is obviously a master of many different forms. But then again, Windu can move at super human speeds with the use of the force. Then again, Iron Fist can tap into his own chi as well as the energy of Shou-Lao. Needless to say, it would be quite the epic battle.

  • chelsewok

Jedi VS. Green Lantern. THINK ABOUT IT. Anyone weilding the ring must have sufficient will power, thus making it almost impossible to imploy jedi mind tricks. Green Lantern also has unlimited control of the physical world which would be an awesome clash of powers between that and The Force. The Jedi would have to have be the best of the best to stand up to a Green Lantern’s powers though. I think Yoda would be the best bet. Fights in themselves might be a little one sided though, because a jedi might have a lightsaber, but a Green Lantern could possibly “phase” through it.

I think about these things waaaay too much :) Nerdalert.

Got two…first is Mara Jade vs. Lara Croft. Any man alive would agree that they would pay to see that fight.

Second would be Darth Maul vs. Toad from X-men…simply for the logistics of “how” the fight would play out. I’m picturing something like the Pixar short Geri’s Game where the old guy plays chess against himself but it appears that he is two different people…but this version would be a “tad” more violent.

I’d still like the Mara/Lara fight better…and everyone posting in this blog/contest would be lying if they said they don’t agree.

BTW, I have Mara winning (of course)…with the finale coming in a no-holds-barred wrestling match.

Sounds like a potential movie?? Right.

Well, considering SW takes place in space, and I’m a big fan of Marvel cosmic characters, here’s my suggestions:

Galactus versus any planets in the SW Universe.

Rocket Raccoon versus all of the Ewoks (think about it, he’s got guns, they’ve got spears).

And how about Marv vs Han Solo?
Coat vs coat, gun vs gun, badass vs badass.
You just might think that Han Solo shoots first, but Marv already survived one major shooting.
Han Solo did survive carbonite still being a top notch badass, but Marv got a first buzz from the electric chair and asked for a second (Is that the best you can do, you pansies?).
Han Solo came from smuggler to Captain among the Rebel Alliance leading the attack he was running from; and Marv also has a peculiar way of loyalty but we can trust him to rip anyone’s limbs out.
Han Solo depends a bit too much on Chewbacca an Millennium Falcon and has to prove he is just as much a one-man-assault battery as Marv.
Let’s see who’s the best shooter, who’s the toughest badass, who’s the greatest character…

  • monsterama2000

The Incredible Hulk vs. The Wampa! I think The Hulk would probably win. He’d tear off the Wampa’s arm and beat him with it.

  • booradly2151

Deadpool vs. Darth Maul would be epic. Darth Maul, one of the most badass Sith EVER!!!!!!!! And Deadpool, one of the most lovable killer in comic book history. I’m extremely dissapointed about the meager five minutes Darth Maul had on screen. The action between the pair would explode the universe in two. Darth Maul has yet to speak and I’m sure with all of Deadpool’s wisecracking, smartass-ing ways, that Darth would have no choice but to drop a few choice words to Deadpool’s face. Although Deadpool might have to resort to a few grenades while fighting, the martials arts would probably make me want to watch MMA. I only wish the sliced parts of Darth Maul could have his way with more action and screentime. Oh, to dream……

  • choppedsalad

  • darthpotentia

    Batman vs. Boba Fett

Two non-superbeings, with tons of cool toys, awesome armor and lots of bad attitude.

  • http://chalmunscantina.wordpress.com chalmunscantina

There are a lot of flashy characters that have impressive mutant/force abilities. All of their battles would result in spectacular displays of sight and sound. But there are many stark differences between the world of superheroes and Star Wars that would have to be looked past to make any of these battles less than one sided. However there are a few characters in both worlds that have proven themselves without superhuman abilities or mastery of some all powerful force.

The matchup I’d like to see would be Indiana Jones vs. Han Solo.

Han Solo, hired by Jabba, has been tasked to “return” (steal and smuggle) a “treasured family heirloom” (treasure) to it’s “rightful owner” (Jabba). Indy would attempt to preserve the precious historical artifact. Both men are clever and resourceful, and since neither character relies on supernatural abilities the matchup is dead even.

While I think that storyline would be awesome, there are those that might argue the matchup is too simplistic and doesn’t provide enough excitement. Keeping in-line with even matchups that don’t have to limit the characters to to make them fair, I have another recommendation.

RoboCop vs IG-88. Mecho y mecho. Comparable firepower and both with a healthy dose of ingenuity. Again, it’s no aurora borealis of mutant and midichlorians, but a knock-down drag-out brawl that leaves the best mech standing.

A quick afterthought: I’d pay good money to see Sabretooth vs. Chewbacca.

  • http://drgonzo369.wordpress.com drgonzo369

I would love to see Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) vs. Darth Vader. Will Power vs Dark Side. This would be a knock down drag out of the ages, complete with Hal pulling out his own “Light Saber” and going to town on Vader, with the green vs red going on. It ends on a stalemate, with Sinestro coming to the aid of Vader, and with Guy Gardner appearing along side Hal, Sinestro and Vader take off, living to fight another day. As they fly away, Vader speaks to Sinestro about being his apprentice.

On a side, I would also dig IG-88 vs Machine Man. The current Machine Man running around the Marvel Universe is a total badass with no regard for “meat sacks”, like IG-88, but after a small disagreement, it’s full on war. Many humans die in the process (along with other races) but neither care, just focusing on destroying the other. And MM comes out at the end, saying “Never send a toaster to do a true Machine’s job.”

  • ggray3

    Day vs. Night

    Good vs. Evil

    Jedi Knight vs. Dark Knight

    Luke Skywalker vs. Batman

This is my fantasy fight! I would like to see these titans clash because they are two iconic figures both touched by tragedy yet still persevere to mold themselves into strong willed and powerful individuals who can confront and overcome adversity. A Bruce Wayne/Batman could easily fit into the Star Wars mythology because of his tragic beginnings like so many Star Wars characters. It would be interesting to see what type of circumstances could possibly pit Batman against the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker whose optimism and demeanor are in opposition to the grim and suspicious Batman.

Think of this as an “Elseworlds” title of what could be. Please read to see just how this most awesome sounding clash of the titans would play out!

A young Bruce Wayne Fett sees his father Jango cut down before his very eyes by the Knights of the Jedi Council. He vows then to avenge his father’s death and eradicate all Jedi’s from existence.

Bruce trains his mind and body to the fullest. Donning Jedi Knight killing armor (a combination of heavy Boba Fett armor with bat ears, cape and utility belt), Bruce transforms into Batman, the Dark “Knight” who hunts down and seemingly kills all the remaining Jedi. That is until a young Jedi named Luke Skywalker comes of age and makes his presence known to the Empire by destroying the Death Star.

Luke’s moral optimism and Jedi powers are the hope of salvation for the oppressed galaxy. The only things standing in the way of the Luke and the fall of the Empire are Darth Vader and the Jedi killing bounty hunter for hire—Batman, the Dark Knight. Batman is a man with a vendetta that won’t die, a man who possesses Jedi killing armor and a body count of 99 dead Jedis to his name who’s looking to make Luke his 100th.

Luke Skywalker surrenders to the Empire to confront Darth Vader, his father (ala “Return of the Jedi”); however, Batman is all that stands in his way before he can confront Vader face to face. An epic fight ensues between Luke and Batman with a back and forth battle until Luke’s superior Jedi powers start to take their toll on Batman. Methodically, Luke shaves off the Fett/Bat body armor, piece by piece, until Bruce Wayne Fett is void of most of his armor. But Batman has one last play and hits a switch that opens a nearby side panel revealing Lord Darth Vader imprisoned in power dampening chains. Batman takes out a light saber from his utility belt and puts it up to the chained Vader’s throat.

Batman tells Luke that his participation in the Empire was just a ruse to position himself and gain information on the Jedi (Batman is no one’s lackey). And now Batman intends to deny Luke his only chance of turning Darth Vader back to the good side of the Force—because Batman plans to kill the father (Darth Vader) of the last Jedi (Luke) just as the Jedi killed his father in front of his eyes many years ago to obtain his final vengeance. But before Batman is done explaining, Luke… (break in the story).

Will Luke Skywalker’s Jedi training be good enough to save himself and Darth Vader? Can Batman, the Jedi Knight eradicator, outwit, out react and outlast the young Jedi Knight?

Please make me worthy of the Star Wars comic collection because then I’ll let you know how the most awesome story ends;) Or just pick my fantasy clash of the titans because Star Wars and Dark Horse rules!

hmm….i think i would have to go Mara Jade, when she was the Emperor’s Hand, vs. Rose Wilson aka Ravager.
With both women having such strength and skills, it would be something to see.
With Ravager’s abilities and her precongitive senses to see things right before they happen, it would be cool to watch whose senses are better/faster. Could Ravager outwit the Force?? Hmm…add her energy katanas against a lightsaber, interesting.
And the reason I say Mara Jade when she was the Emperor’s Hand is because that is before she became Mrs. Luke Skywalker. She walked that edge of good/bad as does Ravager. Not knowing what side they will fall on or if they cross that line.
At would be an interesting match up to see a no holds bar approach with both women.

  • jsantacruz

Batman vs Bobba Fett would be nice.
Another one I thought about was Indiana Jones vs Han Solo, that kind of strangeness would freak anyone out.

  • fromheadtobook

Alright let me first say that whoever has the responsibility of choosing a winner here has a hard job ahead of them. I almost didn’t post a suggestion after reading all of the awesome ones already here. But I must admit I’d like to see a tag team of Han Solo and Boba Fett VS. Batman and Ironman in an all out smack down between 4 guys without super powers. Ironman’s suit might give him an unfair advantage but I’m guessing Boba Fett and Han would man up and find a way to bring him down, but then there’d be Batman….oh I’m getting excited just imagining all the possibilities.

Also being the huge fan of Domo-kun that I am I’d like to see an army of Domo’s devour any droid army..lol fun fun fun…maybe give them each a Slurpie before the fight too..lol

I would love to see Conan the Barbarian lightsaber duel against Darth Maul. Both men excel in combat and are fearsome warriors. Darth Maul has the fury and hatred of the Darkside. Conan has been fighting in full scale wars since he was a youth, he has even managed to kill gods. Considering this battle would take place in the Star Wars universe (probably in an ancient tomb or a Desert), based on combat skill and if he was given a lightsaber, I would probably have to give the edge to Conan. He has survived worst sorcery than the darkside can conjure and his iron will to cleave his enemies in to pieces will lead him to victory.

Even if this one doesn’t count anymore, I just gotta say I forgot one of my favorite characters that would go on to have an amazing battle agains Yoda: Mister Mxyzptlk
    Yeap, the Trickster!

It’s not just because they are about the same size (eheheheh!) but it would be hilarious to see Yoda reacting to the sillyness of Mister Mxyzptlk during battle.
Besides, only Mister Mxyzptlk can stop the dimension of his own powers, so at what point would he raise himself in order to fight Yoda is an incognita.
But since Mister Mxyzptlk would never kill Yoda, or the fun would be over, we would have recurrent and always different fights between the two!
