Rumor Patroll brings you a daily offering of gossip from inside the nerd world. We can’t confirm anything, but we can definitely spread the word.

Sandman: The Saturday Morning Cartoon?

Warner Bros. is working on attaining the rights for the epic Neil Gaiman series and hopes to turn it into a TV show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Eric Kripke, who created Supernatural, is supposedly the favored producer, but no one from his camp is confirming anything. Neil  did cryptically tweet yesterday, “I’ll be off the map for the next 18 days. No cellphone reception and barely any internet. Be good while I am gone. Do not break the world.” Perhaps he’s negotiating a deal with the higher-ups? Personally, I always thought Sandman would make an awesome Saturday morning cartoon, followed by “The Watchmen: The Animated Series.”

See Which Transformer They’re Going to Butcher Next in Transformers 3

Screen Rant found some footage of the Autobots and Decepticons that are going to be in Transformers 3. The clip is from some guy stalking a parking lot in Chicago where all the props are housed — including supposedly Sentinel Prime. He gives some great commentary with his super-enthused voice. But wait, the Autobots don’t live in Sam Witwicky’s garage?

Sentinel Prime?

Kenneth Branagh: ““I am having the time of my life making Thor with Ken and Chris.”

Gategrasher might have said otherwise, but director Kenneth Branagh told Hero Complex that everyone is harmonious on set. “I am having the time of my life making Thor with Ken and Chris, he said. “They have made every day immensely fun and collaborative, and we’re all puzzled that someone would fabricate a story suggesting otherwise. I’m proud to say that Thor has been one of the great experiences of my career.” He adds that they’re two-thirds of the way through the story. It’s all great news, but he didn’t answer my one burning question: Where’s the helmet?
