The Coolpix P7000 from Nikon is the point-and-shoot camera we’ve all been waiting for. Nikon’s latest flagship compact drops the megapixels in favor of better low light performance and an overall polished package that has us lusting over it.
A 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor (1/1.7”), 7.1x wide angle optical zoom lens (28-200mm F2.8-5.6), 720p (24fps), optical viewfinder with diopter adjustment dial and ISO up to 12,800 round out the core new features and specs for the $500 camera. It will be available later this month.
Press release after the jump.
