A Week Without Social Media? Yes We Can, Harrisburg University Says

Possibly the only thing a college student uses more than their fake ID is social media. Facebook has become a welcome distraction from studying for finals, and tweeting is now the new way to spread gossip on campus.

So when Provist Eric Darr Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Pennsylvania enforced a campus wide ban on social media, we started to wonder if that was even possible. What happens if a student finds out they have a new comment on their Spring Break 2008 photo album on Facebook on their smart phone? We doubt they would turn a blind eye. Or, how could you spend a day without knowing what Kanye West was tweeting?

Could you survive a week without Tweeting or checking your Facebook? And technically, can you still email?
