Have a Flip Camera? Buy a Blue Mics Mikey

The vast majority of folks I know own a Flip camera. Mostly because I know other media folks that get review units but also because the things are so damn easy to operate. Aside from a few quibbles I have about low-light performance and a not-so-great zoom/AF, I like the Flip line of cameras. But audio quality isn’t very good, so I’m happy to report that Blue Microphones is releasing a Mikey external microphone just for the Flip.

The Mikey plugs right into any Flip camera with a FlipPort and you’ll be recording like a pro. It’s powered by an AAA battery, so as not to drain the Flip itself and only costs $69. Well worth it if your sole means of capturing video comes by way of a Flip.
