Undercovers may have underperformed for NBC in its debut last night, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not ready to give JJ Abrams some more screentime; the peacock network has beaten out other networks – including Lost home, ABC – to snap up the rights to the much-buzzed-about new comedy drama reteaming Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn.

It was revealed earlier this week that Abrams’ Bad Robot production company was pitching Odd Jobs, an hour-long show starring Lost‘s most watchable double act as former black-ops agents, to networks, with former Alias (and ABC’s recent summer flop, Happy Town) producers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec attached as showrunners. The show – now officially untitled – was the subject of interest from ABC and Fox, but NBC managed to win the bidding war. Fox shouldn’t be too unhappy, however; it also picked up a new Lost-connected Abrams series yesterday, Alcatraz, written by former Lost writer Elizabeth Sarnoff. Hey, at least we know what that island is all about.
