Although DC Entertainment’s official line is that no-one can talk specifics about the number of employees affected by the decision to move all but the company’s print publishing division to the West Coast – with the LA Times’ figure of 20% layoffs challenged by DC spokespeople – until all DC employees have gone through one-on-one interviews with HR about their future, Bloomberg has noticed that the company has filed paperwork with the state of New York’s Department of Labor that 80 people within the 250-strong company will either be laid off or relocated by August of next year.

The paperwork was filed on Wednesday by June Martin, Senior VP of Human Resources for the company. A Warners spokesperson, when contacted by Bloomberg, returned to the company line, saying that “[t]he reorganization of DC Entertainment includes promotions, relocations and layoffs, and beyond that we are not commenting on any specifics.”
