Two months ago, the “Who Do You Trust?” cinematic trailer for DC Universe Online hit the interwebs explaining why the world of the game would need an influx of new metahumans. The violent mini-movie was produced by Blur Studio, the CGI house that also did the kick-ass Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer that debuted at this year’s E3.

“Who Do You Trust?” shows Batman getting all armored up, Wonder Woman in a swordfight with Deathstroke and Hal Jordan getting his ass handed to him by Black Adam. We’re not going to spoil it if you haven’t watched yet, but suffice it to say the aftermath of the balls-out showdown sets up the plot of the game.
Now Sony Online Entertainment’s released a director’s cut of the clip, where Tim Miller of Blur Studio and DC Comics’ co-publisher Jim Lee talk about the beginnings of the upcoming MMO and break down the trailer shot by shot. You also get to hear Jim Lee non-chalantly drop the word “Gotterdammerung,” so that’s another reason to watch. DCUO comes out for PC and PS3 this November.
