The real life of Abraham Lincoln was an amazing thing, but it’s about to become a lot more amazing with the news that 20th Century Fox will be bringing his fictionalized biography, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, to the big screen, with Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov attached. Oh, and it’ll be in 3D, of course.

The cinematic version of the story will be scripted by the novel’s author, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies writer Seth Grahame-Smith, with Wanted and Nightwatch‘s Bekmambetov acting as producer and director, and Burton onboard as producer. According to Variety, pre-production on the movie will begin immediately, with the movie aimed at a summer 2012 release. Lincoln’s Wikipedia entry will be updated to include his true passion of staking vamps soon afterwards, no doubt.
