T-Mobile and HTC have just announced the “new” myTouch aka myTouch HD. Like the G2, the myTouch HD runs on T-Mobile’s super fast HSPA+ network (4G) that’s currently available in Biloxi and Gulfport, Miss.; Denver, Colo.; Huntsville, Ala.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Norfolk, Va.; Omaha, Neb.; Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; Salt Lake City, Utah; San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland and Sacramento, Calif.; and West Palm Beach, Fla.
The latest Android–powered myTouch phone includes a Video Chat feature akin to Apple’s FaceTime for the iPhone 4 and iPod touch but works over the network (3G) and not just over Wi-Fi. The service will work with other T-Mobile myTouches, Yahoo! Messenger and Qik.
No word on a launch date but T-Mobile promises to deliver the new myTouch in time for the holidays.
