Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Watchmen and 300 director Zack Snyder has been chosen by Warner Bros to direct the Christopher Nolan-produced reboot of the Superman movie franchise. Snyder, who has a background with comic book movies and, especially with his upcoming Sucker Punch, movies that rely on visual spectacle, had previously been seen as one of the more likely names on the shortlist of directors attached to the project.
