To mark the 30th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, Vanity Fair released some exclusive photographs from the coffee table book The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, which was published in conjunction for the occasion. From seeing how small those AT-AT’s really are to seeing George Lucas talking to Carrie Fisher, Mark  Hamill and Harrison Ford, the pictures give an intimate look at one of the centuries biggest blockbusters.

The book also includes in-depth articles about the creation of the iconic movie poster, which was inspired by Gone With the Wind, and reproductions of Lucas’ handwritten notes. It’s definitely a must buy for the holiday season for those of you who haven’t bought your copy yet.
