Angry Birds Free for Android

Know which mobile game is really popular? Angry Birds. If you’re an Android user, you can download the full version for free as part of a partnership between the company behind the game, Rovio Mobile, and the GetJar.com online app store. You won’t find it in the Android Market.

Believe it or not, the GetJar site is chugging along a bit slowly right now—apparently people like free stuff! To download the game, you can go to its page on GetJar from a regular computer and have a text message sent to your phone with the download link or use your phone’s web browser to go to m.getjar.com and download the game that way.

I wonder if it will download on an AT&T device?

  • thebonafortuna

    Answer: no.

Thanks, AT&T, for porking your customers yet again. At least we can still voice dial…oh wait. Might be finally time to make a switch.

@thebonafortuna a version is coming (eventually) to the Android Market (according to the game publisher). Also, there is a desktop app over at Android Central that will allow you to install any app regardless of your phones settings.

I’d like to see a paid version of this app because I’d rather not deal with the ads. I accidentally clicked on one and it hosed my session of the game. No big deal, all I had to do was exit and re-start the game, but still I’d rather not deal with them.
