The Hobbit Movie Finally Official

File this under “Surprising no-one,” but it’s finally official: Warner Bros’ movie adaptation of The Hobbit has finally been officially greenlit, and Peter Jackson will direct. With this non-news finally known, expect an announcement about whether or not the production will stay in New Zealand following union troubles sooner rather than later.
