Super Meat Boy Debuts with Sale on Xbox Live

We told you yesterday that Super Meat Boy is worth your time and money and now you won’t have to spend as much of it to get the cutesy-gory indie platformer. Developers Team Meat have announced that their new game will cost 800 Microsoft points, instead of 1200 MSP. That’s down to $10 from $15 in real world monies, which equals a savings of 30%.

This is the first time that an Xbox Live Arcade game has ever had a launch sale. Hell, usually a downloadable game has to available for months before it ever goes on sale. To celebrate, Team Meat’s unleashed a hilarious new trailer for the game.

This isn’t the first time they’ve gone retro to promote the game, either:

Super Meat Boy‘s available now on Xbox Live and will be coming soon for WiiWare. “Push the Buttons!”
