Maybe it’s less prestigious than the Oscars, but the Spike Scream Awards tries to honor the best in cult/nerd/sci-f/fantasy culture. These films might not be known as the best of their generation, but you definitely went to the theater and saw these films, sometimes even multiple times. The show filmed a couple of days ago, and footage leaked before the show aired last night, including the much-anticipated Scream 4 trailer which they ended up releasing online before the event.
If you didn’t see it, here’s one of the best parts – Bill Murray accepting the award for Zombieland as a g. Early promotion for the upcoming film? Whatever, he still looks good in the suit after all these years, and if it’s the original suit and he still fits, kudos to him. More importantly, they revealed the Green Lantern battery for the upcoming film. Smaller pictures of it have leaked online, but take a look at the giant-sized one standing on stage. (More on Techland: Rumor PaTroll: Aronofsky Negotiating Wolverine 2, Green Lantern News)
