Does this gun look familiar? It should: It’s the PPK Handgun, better known perhaps as James Bond’s pistol of choice, and newly trademarked by the US Patent & Trademark Office following a blind online survey that proved that 54% of those polled were not only able to recognize the pistol but link it to 007 himself. The survey came as the result of the USPTO’s original decision to dismiss a trademark request for the gun because it didn’t believe it had a distinctive enough design to warrant it.
