My inbox is totally empty in both my personal and professional email accounts... no fancy third-party software needed. You just need to be smart and quick at sorting mail and moving them into the appropriate folders... and people need to learn to delete unnecessary emails like Facebook notifications and spam (it's called unsubscribe, in the very fine print at the bottom of the email). Once you get a good routine going, any new emails that you receive won't seem so daunting with your +300 emails still in the inbox.

And the only flaw I see with Nudgemail is incorrect email addresses (I'm sure some people may misspell Mondy or Wdnesday), because it would suck to get it bounced back when you want to receive it later - oh the irony. But still... at least it'll give people the feeling of a completely empty inbox.
