Welcome to the Loadout. Our philosophy is that the working week is a recurring boss battle that you’ll need the proper weapons to take down. The supplies at hand won’t always be pretty but you might just be able to hold out until the weekend. Green means add it to your arsenal, yellow leaves it up to your discretion and red means back away slowly. With that, let’s see what we’ve got this week:

The Game: Disney Epic Mickey

Specifications: The instantly recognizable character gets his first video game outing in more than a decade, in an all-new game on the Wii. Mickey gets pulled into a dark dimension filled with time-lost Disney characters called the Wasteland, where he discovers a long-lost sibling and must help defeat an evil he accidentally helped create.

Ideal Usage Scenario: Epic Mickey’s a great game for players of all ages. Older, more experienced gamers can play their own way and see their actions affect the world, while younger players get to learn all about the rich world of Disney like never before.

The Game: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

Specifications: Following up on the storied Game Boy Advance Golden Sun RPGs, Dark Dawn follows the children of the first two games heroes’ as they navigate a new world where everything has changed. Explore new continents, forge new alliances and control new Djinns in a quest to determine the fate of planet Weyward.

Ideal Usage Scenario: Dark Dawn enjoys an impressive graphical upgrade from the GBA game and goes a long way to make sure new players are brought up to speed. It sports a sharp interface and gorgeous animation, too. Consider this Golden Sun a must-buy if you’re looking for a meaty, handheld RPG experience.
