Radio Shack Shaves $50 Off iPhone Prices (More If You Trade in an Old One)

Radio Shack is slashing $50 off the price of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS now through December 11. The iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (16GB) and iPhone 4 (32GB) will drop to $49.99, $149.99 and $249.99 respectively.

If you’ve been waiting to upgrade, the time is now especially since Radio Shack is also offering to pay $75 credit for a 3G phone and $125 credit for  3GS. You can only use up to $50 of your credit toward a new phone, but the rest can be spent on accessories. You do have to sign a 2-year-contract though, so if you’re willing to commit, this is possibly the best deal you’ll ever get. To be eligible, your old phone must turn on, cannot be PIN locked and has to be in fully working condition without anything broken. (So if your display cracked when you dropped it, sorry you’re out of luck.) In addition, the cell phone housing or casing cannot be cracked or broken, and neither the display nor the housing can exhibit any signs of liquid damage. If you don’t have an iPhone, you can get at least a $10 credit for trading in another brand of phone if it is in working condition as well. It also seems that you can use your credit toward any other phone if you’re just not an iPhone. See Radio Shack’s Trade In and Save program for details.
