If you’re a huge fan of the virtual band, you’ve probably heard the Gorillaz’s latest album The Fall, which was released on Christmas day. In their recent interview with Billboard, Damon Albarn dished on how he created the album and which apps he used, including Speak It!, SoundyThingie, Mugician, Funx Box Drum Machine, Gliss, AmpliTube and Xenon Groove Synthesizer. He made the album entirely on his iOS device over his 32 day tour with the group.

“I literally made it on the road in America over a month,” he said to Billboard. “If I left it until the New Year to release it, then the cynics out there would say, ‘Oh well, it’s been tampered with.’ But if I put it out now, they’d know that I haven’t done anything because I’ve been on tour ever since.”
