The story in question (which seems more like something ripped from the pages of The Onion, except it’s not funny; WWN should stay in its wheelhouse) does mention a private phone conversation with Zuckerburg, true. But it also clearly states that he announced the shutdown in a press conference.

Most egregiously, I’m pretty sure I’m on “the internet”, and I don’t remember falling for this story. So, I’d like to know exactly how “the internet” fell for it. Feel free to present hard numbers. …Or even ONE supporting fact. Heck, even a bit of hand-waving would be a step up from the post’s current content: baseless hyperbole nestled in a swiss-cheese of inaccuracies.
