Periodical sales on the iPad may not be growing, but not every tablet reader has that problem. Barnes & Noble’s NOOKnewsstand is reporting that it has already sold 150% more subscriptions since Christmas 2010 than in the previous twelve months combined, with 650,000 new subscriptions in the last month alone.

The Nooknewsstand offers over 120 magazines and newspapers, including USA Today, the Wall Street Journal and National Geographic, and customers able to buy individual issues as well as subscriptions. Barnes & Noble promises to add more titles, as well as more interactivity for the device, throughout the year.
