I wonder how long it will take the 'Hackers' to figure out a way to read the credit card numbers. They have already hacked the cards that you just 'wave' at the charge terminal to pay. I still prefer my debit card, make purchase, enter pin number, get purchase and receipt!!

I don't really understand what value this brings to the table. Is it meant to eliminate credit cards? If you're paying from iTunes, doesn't it automatically charge your credit card, anyway? If you're getting Paypal involved (shudder), you're still paying with a credit card, right? Why would anyone want to introduce another middle man between your purchases and your wallet? It's opening up an entirely new way to get ripped off. Is there an end game to get rid of credit cards? Because for all their faults, companies like American Express, Discover, etc., at least offer some degree of protection from fraudulent activity on your account. Will Apple do the same?

What about online purchases? You can't whack your iPad against your computer and magically have the first season of Archer show up at your doorstep. You still need a credit card.

And maybe it's just me, but I find it cumbersome enough tracking my bank account, my paychecks, my car insurance, my credit cards, car payments, etc., without the desire to add "iPhone tapping purchases" to the list of things to monitor in my life. Not to mention the sanitary issues that crop up if you treat your phone like a credit card.

I can't believe I'm turning into a luddite.
