Best Buy Leaks Dates for New Verizon 4G Phone and Tablet

Whoopsie daisies. One of Best Buy’s stores unwittingly posted some product availability dates on Facebook that shouldn’t have been made public yet, as captured in the above image by DroidLife. All are Verizon products and only one—the iPhone 4—had its release date known previously.

I saw it with my own eyes this morning and left the Facebook page open in my browser all day, intending to do a screen grab. But then either “life” happened or I just plain got distracted, depending whom you ask, and by the time I got to writing this post, the Facebook update had been deleted. That’s a pretty good sign someone (see: Verizon) asked Best Buy to delete it.

Aside from the iPhone, the products are all devices meant to work on Verizon’s fast new 4G/LTE network. The first handset, HTC’s Thunderbolt, will hit Best Buy on February 14th. The first hotspot, the Samsung Presto, will hit on the 17th. And the Motorola Xoom tablet will be available on the 24th, though it’ll be 3G at first and upgradeable to 4G later.
