Chrome 10 Beta Promises “Speed, Sync and Settings”

In honor of the Year of the Rabbit, Google Chrome announced its newest beta release today, which features a new version of the V8 JavaScript engine that’s proven to be 66 percent faster than the version in Chrome 9.

In addition to JavaScript that’s as fast as a bunny rabbit and GPU-accelerated video, Chrome 10 also simplifies a user’s browser experience by allowing the synching of passwords, bookmarks, preferences, themes and extensions across multiple computers. Users will also notice a reworked settings interface that opens in a new tab and is easily navigable through the search bar. See the demo below:

Keep in mind that Chrome 10 is currently only available in the beta channel. But as WebMonkey reports, it should be released to the masses in just six weeks.
