Static was truly a milestone, and his efforts fleshed out the universes he worked in. There’s always talk of making comics more accessible, and Mr. McDuffie’s resume should be a template. Not just for incorporating new, diverse characters, but by working on fantastic cartoons like JLU and Teen Titans, which showed new fans just how awe-inspiring DC icons really are.
