Who’s the best person to follow on Twitter? Besides Ashton Kutcher, that is? TIME has pulled together the top 140 best Twitter feeds, so be sure to take a look and vote on who you think should be included in the ultimate Twitter showdown.

There are suggestions ranging from, of course, celebrities and comedians to technology and politicians. Sarah Palin, Lady Gaga, Kanye… or is your list a little more high-brow like Al Jazeera and the BBC?

On the other hand, if you don’t have a Twitter account, there’s a good 140 suggestions to start off your virtual journey with. And if you already follow hundreds of people, perhaps you don’t need this list.

I’m surprised that Time would suggest that anybody should follow Lady Gaga. I just checked her Twitter feed and it is as content-free as her music. They should check who provides a good feed rather than who is a trash culture celebrity.

The Bill Walton parody account found @TheBillWalton is not only one of the funniest feeds on twitter but it also blogs live during basketball games, making it one of the best sports feed. I’m surprised Time missed this one.
