It’s Monday! Time for some handpicked gadget deals.

Magellan 5-inch GPS with free traffic: $120 at Amazon (today only)

41aRLIdLu4L._AA165_Amazon has cut $50 off the regular price of the Magellan RoadMate 5045-LM GPS system. The deal is good today only. There’s a lot to like for the price here. A big 5-inch touchscreen? Good. Free lifetime map updates and real-time traffic alerts? Even better.

You get a handful of other staples, too: Lane assist, 6 million points of interest from AAA, spoken street names, and routes with multiple stops, to name a few.

Refurbished 27-inch HP monitor: $230 at Sellout.Woot (today only)

Famous_Maker_27__LCD_Monitor_with_HDMIvvjStandardSellout.Woot is selling this refurbished 27-inch "famous maker" LCD monitor for just $230, today only. A photo of the backside ports on the site reveals that the "famous maker" is Hewlett-Packard, and the monitor itself looks a lot like the HP 2710m that sells new for $320 directly from HP.

Specs include a 1920×1080 resolution, HDMI/DVI/VGA inputs, built-in speakers, and a 90-day warranty. You can extend the warranty out to a full year for $33, which might not be a bad idea.

Also of note, there’s a one-day deal for a nicely-outfitted Intel Core i5 HP desktop over on Woot.com that would pair pretty well with this gargantuan monitor if you’re interested. Remember desktops?

Microsoft Office Professional 2010: $100 at DailySteals (today only)

10234442Microsoft suggests that the retail price of Office Professional 2010 should be $500. DailySteals nods approvingly as though it’s going to heed Microsoft’s advice and then sets the price at $100. What’s going on here?

Who cares?! A decked-out version of Office for $100 is nothing to sneeze at. Office Professional 2010 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access.

The deal is good today only.

TVs up the wazoo: Prices vary at Walmart

0060958518622_180X180I can’t pick just one. Walmart has a heaping helping of "Special Buys" in its electronics department, with a bunch of TVs looking very enticing.

Rumpus room? There’s a 19-inch Philips for $149.

Living room? This 46-inch RCA is only $549. Or a 42-inch Hannspree for $459. Or a 42-inch RCA plasma for $419. Or a 40-inch internet-ready Philips LED-backlit TV with a 120Hz refresh rate for $599. That’s just a start.

HP Pavilion 14-inch Core i5 notebook: $550 at Office Depot

303486_sk_mdHere’s what I like about this notebook: It’s only $550 and it sports an Intel Core i5 processor and it’s housed in brushed aluminum and it only weighs 4.4 pounds even though it’s got a 14-inch screen and a DVD burner. That’s about it, though. Oh and it has a fingerprint reader and 6+ hour battery life. And four gigabytes of RAM.

I don’t like that you have to send away for a $50 rebate. Nobody likes mail-in rebates. So for me, this computer costs $600. For anyone who’s the least bit organized, it costs $550 plus postage to send out the rebate form.
