President Obama’s never been one to shun social media.

Wait, who are we kidding? We know the guy loves it (note his 2012 campaign opening on Facebook).

So his new announcement to hold a town-hall style forum on Facebook later this month should come as no surprise.

Mr. Obama will visit Facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., on April 20 where the session – with company CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg– will be conducted, the White House said. The live-streamed session, open to anyone, will focus on the economy.

“The President will connect with Americans across the country to discuss the tough choices we must all make to put our economy on a more responsible fiscal path, while still investing in the innovation economy that makes America more competitive,” the White House’s post reads.

Itching to get involved early?  Users can immediately begin submitting questions by posting them on the Facebook event page or on the White House website. Facebook will select questions for the event.

You might consider this event a testament to the power of social media. And don’t forget to RSVP!
