News advertising at the Times Co. dropped $14 million. $297,000 isn’t going to help them.

At the same time, there’s evidence of a drop in page hits. The Times isn’t forthcoming with numbers on that.

I’m hoping that when it expires some other enterprising corporate sponsor will pick up the idea and keep running with it.

I’ll be interested to see where they are in a year, as I don’t think they will hit their target. I’m betting they’ll top out at about 150k subscribers.
