PS3 better than Xbox i will always be loyal to Sony. Hmm hackers going for Sony an the problems in Japan. Why dont all of you stop being selfish an give companies a break. If your going back to Xbox dont let the door hit you on the way out. I’ll enjoy my better graphics an when you play both systems on an HD tv you will notice the difference in graphics. Blue-ray, better graphics an the best rpg franchise on it. Hmmm i do think that alone blows away Xbox an the fail Nintendo system.

I stay away from Xbox and PS3. Do all gaming on the PC. Better graphics and i can still watch my netflix on here without issue.

man sony kan take dis playstation n shove it, i use to b a big x-box 360 fan and never had any problems.I decided to switch to ps3 and have ran into more problems then i can count, from freezing in the middle of a game to it just plan ol turning off by itself. Now this PSN down thing didn’t just start today either, ive been having problems with PSN for a week. I just brought the new mortal kombat and i havent even taken the plastic off yet because im thinking about taking it back, thanks to the PSN. Well looks like im gonna be trading in all my ps3 gear for 360 gear sorry sony i have gave you more than enough chances.

will you can use the internet on your PS3 but not the playing on line I cant get that. I think Sony is updating
the new software so hackers cant get in….?
will who wants hackers in any way its sucks man when you play on world at war or Modern Warfare 2 you cant even kill them or get them they all fly do you think that’s a game to play no I don’t think so? we don’t need that in black ops or other game ?

I’m sure someone is in their parents’ basement paddling their pud for all its worth, because they crashed the PlayStation Network. Good for you, bitch! Here’s a pudding cup; and put you hat on, because it’s cold outside. To the author of this “article”: get over it, and move on. As others have stated, you can still use all the benefits of PS3, except being able to play your games online. Regardless, PS3 is still way better than XBox360.

You say you can get on Netflix does anyone know if you can access vudu or hulu+ during outage or do I have to plug HDMI cable from ipad 2 to get hulu, this won’t work with vudu as ipad doesn’t support flash player and vudu is a couple months from getting around this

Yes, to get that out of the way, you just keep ignoring it the you must have a PSN account message and your Netflix will take over.

I am really amazed at the “so what” attitude and response from so many. The fact that we can do something else is not even pertinent. Maybe the guys at Sony need to go back and review the FaceBook movie where Zuckerberg is quoted as saying, “…if you’re down you’re dead.” Or, at least it was something like that.

The fact is we are on a major release weekend, on a holiday weekend. If you aren’t a gamer, you may not understand what that means. It is major competition for user time. And, Sony is not only losing, they are acting blase about it!

I guess next their gonna claim that they have to charge $60 a year like MS to keep the network up. Well Sony, here’s a clue. You are dead. I might as well go get a 360. All it’s missing is a Blu Ray player and the free network. Apparently the only actual value add is the Blu Ray.

Seriously, you have taken a machine with so much promise and made it into no advantage at all. You are being horribly outsold by both MS and Nintendo. The Kinect is what you released years ago as the iCam! Yet you allow it to sound like the equivalent of Move.

PSN, you price the add on content too high and try to con people into paying for next to nothing. You have no web browser on your machine. MS has the standard one. Could you just get Firefox or someone else to provide you with one that works?

No, you’d rather “control” all your content no matter how bad or poorly marketed it is. Duh, Sony!

You can still watch netflix. Open Netflix and after the login attempt fails and you get the error code hit the back button and you are on the netflix screen. You can select any movie or show and watch it. I have done it all day.

Matt, keep trying to access your Netflix, even though the network is down — after about 3 attempts it will just load Netflix, even if you aren’t logged onto the PSN. Your welcome.
