Though Sony’s been under lots of heat for continually flubbing their still-not-working PlayStation Network, I have to say: this new trailer for SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs — especially in light of all the SEALS-related newsmaking this week — is pretty compelling.
Watch it down below and note some of the (I’m sure) carefully selected rhetoric: “We are in and out before the world even knows there was a problem,” or “You don’t know our faces, but you know our seal.” A tad overt, especially when held against the more action-oriented script chosen for the older trailer.
Regardless, it’s interesting stuff, and the gameplay looks promising enough to give Call of Duty head’s a bit of competition (once they can get online, anyway). The game and its “Full Deployment Edition” are available starting today.
