Mark Zuckerberg Somehow Wins Worst-Dressed Geek over Steve Jobs

So GQ has a gallery called The 15 Worst-Dressed Men Of Silicon Valley and—SPOILER ALERT—Facebook head honcho Mark Zuckerberg took the top spot. Apple’s Steve Jobs came in second place.

Yes, Zuckerberg dresses like he’s still in college but, hey, two quick things: 1. He changes outfits and 2. He’s actually put on a jacket and tie for a public appearance. Granted, it took a Facebook town hall with Obama to get Zuck to don some dapper duds and even then, he still rocked jeans.

And the jacket and slate t-shirt combo in the below photo (which I’m not defending) happened within five months of the Obama thing, too. That’s two jacket appearances within a relatively short time span.

But Steve Jobs? Same outfit. All the time. And it’s not like it’s a cool outfit from the future—it’s one of the easiest Halloween costumes ever. Have you ever seen Steve Jobs in anything but a black turtleneck and jeans?

Listen, the guy’s a legend. He can dress however he wants and it won’t affect Apple products one bit. And the whole ho-hum, same-outfit-always idea has a certain Einstein-like charm to it.

I don’t know, maybe there’s a safety in Jobs’ jeans-and-turtleneck simplicity whereas Zuckerberg’s style is too unpredictable. I’ve clearly spent too much time analyzing this already. GQ could have made a Best-Dressed in Silicon Valley list and simply published a blank web page. Maybe next year.

P.S. – Here’s Steve Jobs in a tux. Mind? Blown. Right?! Use it for your iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad backgrounds.
