As ultraportable notebooks go, this ASUS could be considered “a wheel of a deal” at $455. The thing costs well over $100 more elsewhere. You get an Intel Core i3 processor, up to eight hours of battery life, four gigabytes of RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium, and the whole she-bang weighs just 3.3 pounds and measures an inch thick.
There’s a two-year warranty, too, which is refreshing. Also refreshing: You could be the weirdo on the bus that uses his laptop. People will only be able to assume that you’re very important. Otherwise, why would you be doing work on the bus? You must have a busy day ahead of you, and apparently you work for a company that solves online crossword puzzles.
