To everyone who’s been waiting patiently for their new Amazon Kindles to arrive, here’s some good news: The company is shipping them out early, it announced today, with Kindle Touch and Kindle Touch 3G orders being filled six days earlier than expected.

Amazon announced the early release today, with VP of Kindle Dave Limp quoted as saying that the company has “seen great excitement over our new line of electronic ink Kindles” to the extent that “sales of our electronic ink Kindles are more than double any previous Kindle launch.” In addition to the nearly-week-early Kindle Touch release, Amazon is also shipping the Kindle Fire one day early.

It’s unclear yet whether the early releases are only for customers who ordered directly from Amazon, or whether they’ll also be released before announced dates in stores as well. The early release of the Kindle Touch products may mean a street date that beats Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet release, scheduled for November 18.
