Following the creation of an online system allowing users to automate calls to their local representative to protest the PROTECT-IP Act and Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), Tumblr managed to generate 3.6 calls per second yesterday from concerned members of its community. “You’re making a real difference. Don’t let up,” urged the Tumblr staff blog.
