23,000

If you’re wondering what the most active account in the history of Twitter is, and just how many tweets it’s managed to send, prepare to have your mind blown. With only eight months of twittering activity, @TwitterSuggests–the experimental feature that used an algorithm to suggest Twitter users with similar interests to you–has racked up almost seven million tweets. Discontinued by Twitter without warning in September, the account had nonetheless sent out 23,000 tweets every day in its brief existence, bringing Twitter users closer together and reassuring them that, yes, you may waste a lot of your day on Twitter, but you’ll never manage to send 23,000 tweets in a 24 hour period.
