Google is facing another lawsuit over whether or not its Android mobile OS infringes on existing patents and intellectual property, with British Telecom having filed a suit in Delaware that claims ownership of six patents relating to not just Android, but also Gmail, Google Maps and more.

FTC to ICANN: New Domain Suffixes Will ‘Undermine’ the Internet

If the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has its way, .xxx domains are just the beginning: Starting January 12, organizations will be able to apply for new domain suffixes that include almost any word or phrase (such as .techland or .time instead of the more familiar .com). Well, unless the FTC manages to convince the organization otherwise.

Should We Ban Apple’s Siri While Driving?

There’s no doubt that distracted driving can lead to car accidents that injure or kill, and the recommended ban is certainly well intended. But the NTSB may not be doing the right thing. An educational campaign to change driver’s habits would be a much better approach.
