Lenovo’s IdeaPad U310 turned out to be an outlier at CES as an ultrabook with a target price of around $700 among a sea of laptops priced at $1,000 and higher. Lenovo got the price down on this 13-in. notebook by using a hard drive with solid state cache instead of solid state storage throughout and by using a slightly thicker design, measuring 0.7 in. Still, it uses a glass trackpad, giving the cursor a MacBook Air-like feel. Look for the U310 in the second quarter. (Details from Lenovo)
