Insanely Simple

Lots of people–too many people, really–have written books that attempt to explain what made Steve Jobs’ Apple so remarkable. Author Ken Segall has some advantages others don’t: As Jobs’s ad-agency creative director for more than a decade at both Apple and NeXT, he was there, and helped make all that success happen. (Among other accomplishments, he worked on the “Think Different” campaign and named the iMac.) That’s what makes his book, Insanely Simple, so exceptional.

And that’s why I’m excited to be interviewing him next week at the wonderful Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley.  The event, which will also include a book signing by Segall, is on Tuesday, July 31 at noon. It’s free, but you do need to register: You can do so and learn more here.

I expect to learn a lot, and I hope to see some of you there. If you can’t make it, you may be able to catch up on our conversation later: KQED radio will record the event for broadcast at some point in the future.
