Tim Cook is applauding.
And the Foo Fighters are done.
It’s big! It’s small! It has lots of features! It has almost no features!
The iPod Nano keeps lurching back and forth.
It’s how it all comes together in use.
As usual, it’s hard to judge the new iPhone based on specs, photos, features.
Most of this stuff was known. It’s cool to see the iPod Touch get so much better.
At the last Apple Macworld keynote they had Tony Bennett singing “The Best is Yet to Come,” which seemed like a message.
Aside from the massive amounts of foo fighting, of course…
And who at Apple chooses them?
I wonder if the band gets free iPhones?
Any surprises today, Harry, based on what you saw?

Sorry for the repetition, repetition
“It’s called Walk”
“It’s called Walk”
Another song…

If it weren’t for Apple events, I’d know even less about contemporary pop music than I do (but I’m enjoying this)
It wears a 4L case.
There’s the Hero Shot, speaking of…
That’s one TALL phone, people.
I’m scanning the audience for Windows PCs in use, not seeing any.

“There goes my hero…”
Someone in the audience (journalist?) just left. Not a music fan, I guess, or maybe his meter is running out.
Dedicating a song to all those people.
They’ve clearly subdued the foo, yet they still continue to fight said foo.
(I don’t think he’s saying Little Richard is AT THIS EVENT.)
“One of the great things about being here is getting to meet all these incredible people who are shaping our future…” Little Richard, Tom Petty and Jimmy Paige are being namechecked.
Applause…cheers…another song…
Foo never stood a chance.

This is the first musical act Apple has had in awhile, I think.
No friendly foo, obviously.
Interesting swirling light effect.
Foo is being fought here, big time.
Good listening, but tough to liveblog.

As you probably already guessed.
They’re singing and playing instruments.

Foo Fighters.
A popular respected Grammy-winning band…they sell out arenas around the globe…
Sounds like we’re about to get a musical guest.
